MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR to you!

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful Holiday season.

This was our first Christmas without Mother and it has been very trying for us, to say the least. We held Christmas at our home for the first time ever, as Dad was content to do nothing :-(

One of our guests broke her ankle the week before Christmas, so she and her niece were unable to join us. Other than that, everything went very well and the food was yummy! (That's not just the cook bragging, lol, my guest said so, too!)

My sister and her family will arrive from KY today- yeah! Haven't seen them since June, so really looking forward to it :-)

Off to work for a bit--- Happy Day!

Sobbing in Death Valley tonight- Bama beats LSU !

Final score: Alabam 27, LSU 21 in overtime.

Bama is now 10-0 !

Woo hoooo, way to go, guys!!

Funniest thing on local TV just now:
They were showing a clip of a Saban effigy being burned. The news guy commented on how LSU hates Saban 'cause he once left them for the NFL (duh, who wouldn't!) and how tasteless the effigy burning was. Then says "But, ya know, if you've ever been to Baton Rogue, alcohol fuels the fires and the people, so this isn't so unexpected for down there." LOL!!

Congrats to Obama; Wake-up Call to USA

Congrats to Senator Obama for his win last night.

All you starry-eyed worshippers waiting for your handout, sure you're in for a surprise before long. It's your job to take care of yourself & your family, it is not the government's place to play Mommy & Daddy.

Black America-- Pay attention. The pity party ends now. Gone are the decades of bemoaning ancient slavery issues & 'whitey' keeping you down. Behold a man willing to WORK for his vision, a man raised by a single parent who started life very poor. In this country, everybody can be somebody IF THEY TRY.

Happy Wednesday

Vote McCain on Tuesday, November 4

Go with the guy who has the most experience, not the one who makes the most (unfulfillable) tax cut promises and whose running mate has been trying to get into our number 1 office since 1984.

He's old, you say? Experience is our best teacher. And what of Reagan who was 73 when he won the 1984 election? In the words of a great man, when the age topic was broached during the second Presidential debate, Reagan responded "I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent's youth and inexperience," which gained a burst of applause and laughter from the audience members and even Mondale himself couldn't suppress a giggle.

McCain. It's the only reasonable choice :-)

Space Station Trash Plunging to Earth

Did you see this?!

http://news.aol.com/article/space-station-trash-plunging-to-earth/234755?icid=100214839x1211845551x1200752764

I'd sure hate to get hit with a piece of that :-(

Hopefully they can determine its course & do something to divert falling pieces that may be harmful to humans.

But even if they head into the oceans as NASA is hoping, it's toxic waste, right? Won't that kill or harm any living species that come into contact with the debris?

Church Sale Delight & Consignment Store Disappointment

SO yesterday was the big annual sale at the HG Methodist Church. We went to scope it out ard 11, bought a few items, & double-checked that bag sale would be held from 2-3- yes!!

Roll north to TN, check a few pitiful YS, decide to stop at CS near Parks City that I hadn't visited in a yr or so.

Wow. Big let down. It was so bad that Hubby even noticed, lol! He came over after 5 minutes & asked 'do you feel the love?' I half-giggled, said 'uh. NO!' and relayed that on my previous visit, this store had oodles of interesting mid to higher end garments. Now? Nothing but White Stag, Cherokee, Gap, Jacklyn Smith, you get the idea. :-( The only 'designer' label I found was Liz Claiborne, lol!

The presence of all those mart brands was bad enough, however, 50% or more of these items were worn, pilled, and/or faded. Prices start at $4.99

Wonder how long she'll stay afloat with such cruddy merchandise ??

Stopped at couple more wanna-be YS-- YKWIM, when someone slops a bunch of carp onto a couple tables, doesn't bother to price ANYthing, parks their fat arse in a chair, and ignores everyone who stops to ogle their wares? Yeah. Bought nothing & even commented 'pfft, nothing is priced' in a loud enough voice as we left the last one, heehee.

Went to grocery store, took Hubby & food home, grabbed a bite and headed back to the bag sale :) Like to never got bags from the lady distributing them. First, there was a goofy-rolling-in-floor-oh-ain't-he-cute brat blocking the doorway. Tired of waiting for that mess to cease, so I went ard to the other door, approached lady, she scoots off to someone else, follow her, scoot, follow, then I asked LOUDLY 'Hey, can I get some bags?' which landed me 2, so I asked for a 3rd. She extened 4 bags to someone approaching and wasn't going to give me a 3rd. Whatever you old biddy. She gave it up after another request.

Toted my box, filled it, stopped to fold & bag, all 3 are full. Bag lady came around offering more bags - to everyone in the area BUT me. Fruit. Looked at the rest of the clothing, put in box, found a bag on the floor -HA!- Made a trip by the tables of stuff & found a couple trinkets.

The checkout lady was very nice & commented how smart I was to bring a box, lol! I'm taking my wheelie cart next year as the box quickly became too heavy to tote, so I resorted to scooting, and tho I kept the box against me while shopping, people still kept trying to take stuff out & drop stuff in as they passed ??

Can't wait til next year :o)

$3.599 gallon gas in Huntland, TN

When I went to Decherd in June, I gassed up in Alabama first. Passed thru Huntland & was like 'Dang! Tenn gas is cheap!' But then saw that it costs same in Decherd/Winchester as here.

So on this month's trip to Decherd on Wednesday, I stopped in Huntland & got me some $3.599 per gallon gasoline at Parsons Shell. It almost felt like stealing :-)

Yard Sale Saturday, July 26

As you may have read, we attempted the YS thing here the past 2 wkends, and last wkend, the Huntsville Times did not run my paid classified ad. :-( The times never returned my phone call or email regarding the issue, so I called again on Monday & went by there on Tuesday.

Apparently you cannot just get your cash money back, nope. If you pay for an ad & they don't run it, your only options are a credit on your account or they will run again for free (basically, same)

So, I placed an ad for a YS at our rental in Huntsville. We'll be on north Parkway from 8-2ish, just south of A&M and the fire staion. Awesome location, if Times fails again, we still should do well. We've been moving stuff over all week and still have 2 loads to go--- lotsa stuff for shoppers, most is priced a quarter to a dollar......... woohoo!

Oh my, they're soooo soft, fresh, moist, yummy - and cheap at 3 for a buck!

Quite possibly the healthiest & best-tasting item on the menu :o)

I'm really enjoying their huge sweet tea for a dollar, too!

Tea, burger, & 3 cookies all for only 3 bucks ... ahhh, summer goodness!

E! TV or Ho! TV ?

First it was Girls Next Door. 3+ hos in one show! It's bearable, tho, and an easy way to burn half an hour when you're bored and it doesn't take much to entertain you and if you can keep the mental images of Hef orgies at bay.

The next ho was Denise Richards, It's Complicated. No, really it isn't, let me lay it out for you: You're needy, pouty, & spolied, your eyes reflect no soul, and your life is as boring as that of any other washed-up-never-really-was man hunter.

A few moments ago, I saw an ad for Pamela Anderson's new show, Pam on the Loose debuts soon. Seriously-- why?! WTH would someone want to sit & watch Pam & Tommy do nothing spectacular for an hour each week? OOOO, and then there'll be the marathons, soon as E! has 6 epis to loop together, lol!!

Not to sound prude-y, but the Pam commercial was extra fleshy, too much so for 8 am on a Sunday. We've all seen Pam's t&a- can I please just enjoy my coffee?

Yard Sale Dismay Part Deux

Seriously, I'm started to think my YS dream is jinxed!!

We were rained out last weekend, so decided to try this weekend as there's no rain in the area. Great. I go to The Huntsville Times on Tuesday & place the ad to run Thursday thru Saturday with the YS being Friday & Saturday.

Spent all day Thursday dragging down truckload of stuff I just got this week. Had a guy stop & inquire about sale. We had no signs up, so I figured he saw ad in the newspaper & just didn't note that it was for Fri-Sat.

Friday morn, up early, spent 4 hours out in the heat. No one. Hubby gets home, we go put up signs around 2:30 advertising the sale on Sat from 8-2. So then, 2 people showed up between 4 & 5 Friday afternoon, lol! They bought over 50 items, I was going woohoo!!

This morning rolls around. Up early, Hubby put some big stuff out, we're ready for the crowds!! An hour passes, then two and we'd only had 2 customers :( I check the newspaper to see if any other sales are nearby and guess what?! My ad is not in there!!! Arrrrghhh!!!!!

My Dad gets the paper daily (not just w/e like us), so I call to see if he's home & can check Thursday & Friday. He's not home. I come up to house, check online--- sure nuff it did not run at allll!!!!

I call the newspaper only to get a recording, wow, big help The Huntsville Times, you're really on top of your game. I have my receipt, the one time I paid cash, no less, and will stop by their office on Monday while I'm in Huntsville.

So for today, we waited until noon, then went & took down the signs on the main roads. An older couple was here looking at stuff when we got back, and we ended up selling them a good bit :)

There's still 4 frigging pickup loads of stuff down there. I left a collection box & a note with it, either they pay or they don't, lol!

Our tenant in Huntsville has been insisting we bring all to his place & set up, so I guess that's on the agenda for next weekend. We will NOT be placing an ad with the Times for this sale (house is right on the Parkway, no need!)

Yard Sale Dismay

We've been trying to hold a YS allll summer. Each time, we put it off due to rainy forecast. It ended up raining exactly zero of those 4 days.

So, this week was it!! I put an ad in the paper & on local net boards. Forecast looked good, just 30% chance of PM showers, great!

Got 2 truckloads down & set up by 8, had a flurry of customers. Hubby went to put up signs. He got back, brought more stuff down from the house, then I went up for more stuff & more coffee! Got truck half loaded, poured coffee, heard dreaded patter of rain.... noooooooooo!!!! It's only 9 o'clock!

Offload everything that's boxed (vs being in a lidded plastic tote), go back down to YS, Hubby had boxed & covered a good bit & 2 people were still shopping! lol!!

Rain stopped, we uncovered everything, unboxed some of it, debated whether to offload totes of stuff, and then attempted to assemble the 2 10x10 canopys I purchased at Fred's a couple weeks ago. The frames are sooo flimsy, but we figure a good tie down & all will be ok. Right? No. Because the tarp that came with each canopy is about 2" too small for its frame.

We had a few more customers, then another shower came up. We covered stuff again & stood under the trees til it passed. Hubby helped uncover & went to the cafe to get me something to eat :-p

While he was gone, I put more stuff out & chatted up one customer. Hubby got back & got me all squared away with food, drink & condiments (he's so good!), then said he was going to take a break out of the humidity.

I ate, then waited on people to come shop, lol! I had almost given up hope when a couple ladies pulled up a little after 10. They spotted lotsa goodies & were happily shopping when 3 more ladies arrived a bit later. They were all rummaging away, pleased as could be, when more rain hit :( And this time it was big, fat, heavy rain, arrrrgh!

I got 30 dollars total from the ladies, they left with big loads, and I was only half soaked :(

Tried to cover stuff, was about to call Hubby for help when there he was! We tried to get stuff off ground & all covered. It was only 10:30 am & we were now soaked to the bone. Came up to the house, changed clothes, dried hair, watched it rain, and sulked.

About quarter after 11, sky was sunny & bright again, so I walked down to start damage inspection/trash detail & wait on buyers. Within half an hour, another storm was in full swing.

On the up side, I met a lot of nice people today & they all got awesome deals. Everything we sold cost us nothing we took in more than enough money to cover the cost of the newspaper ad and the 2 defective canopies. And in only 2.5 hours!

On the down side, it was only 2.5 hours! ARRRGH!! A bunch of stuff is likely ruined now, and I didn't get to put hardly any of 'my' stuff out. Well, maybe that last one belongs in the up side list cause as least none of 'my' stuff got wet!!

Tuesday, July 8, 2008

Happy Tuesday!

Hope yours is as sunny & bright as this Alabama day!

I'm off to run the roads for a while.

Yard Sale Bonanza !!

We hit a good one today!

Got 3 huge funky green glass table lamps from the 70s, 4 wooden shelves, a drop in Kenmore sewing machine with wooden cabinet, 2 wooden footstools, and a bearcat scanner- woohoo. Stopped at another and got a plus size skirt & a Titans license plate. Total spent: less than $30 :o)

The lamps will likely go on CL, maybe eBay for local PU only. The shelves will be used in our home, or put out to YS (they're nice, handmade with lock & groove, slat & groove, whatever it's called when something fits together like a puzzle- oh, tongue & groove, yeah!)

The scanner goes to Uncle Jimmy. Skirt & plate will be sold. Stools & Kenmore stay.

Which was my reason for posting tonight. In searching for a free user's manual, I encountered various boards where other folks were also seeking one. They were directed where to purchase ($10+) After wrestling with Kenmore.com for a bit, I finally got a free copy :)

Rather than join 10 boards that I'll never visit again, I'm posting the info here & maybe they'll find this blog.

If you need manual for a Kenmore 385.1782, you'll find the .pdf version for FREE at: http://www.managemyhome.com/mmh/products/ManualSearch.action?product.productName=Sewing+machine&product.brandName=KENMORE+ELITE&product.modelNumber=3851782

Happy Sewing!

A Walk Through an Old Graveyard

So, yesterday was my birthday (yay, 42!). Being Monday, everyone was at work so I had to amuse myself :)

Had a nice fat cheeseburger, fries & sweet tea at Penny's Restaurant, then decided to go look at my paternal grandma's two headstones (that's a story for another post).

Our small north Alabama town was founded in 1806 & burial at this graveyard began in 1835. After straightening the flowers & various angel figurines on Grandma's grave & checking on the other half dozen relatives, I decided to seek out the oldest grave marker. There's only a couple hundred graves & I went toward the center of the lot.

Didn't take too long & there it was! Hezekiah Bayles, Esq, Born 1756, Died 1835. Beside him, his wife Jane, Born 1762, Died 1839. Even more exciting, there's a little flag marking her grave as belonging to the wife of a Revolutionary War Soldier!! I suppose there was once a flag on his grave, but it is no longer.

I found many other old stones including several that belonged to men who had served in the War of 1812, the Mexican War, The Civil War (including many who served in the Tennessee Cavalry), as well as a number of Vietnam vets. Oddly, I do not recall seeing any from WWI or WWII.

There was a large number of infant & toddler's graves, many being decades old & sporting markers that had been etched by hand by a grieving family member. So touching.

I didn't have my camera with me as the trip was unplanned, but I hope to return on Friday & take some snapshots to share. :)

Surprising Instant Oatmeal Nutrition Labels

Who would have guessed that the flavored varieties contain so much less iron than the plain old oatmeal??

According to nutrition facts for the product, flavored varieties give 19-22% Iron needed daily, whilst plain renders 41%. Fat, fiber, other values are about equal for all.

A great lady left us today. On a beautiful morning with blue skies & the rarely seen snow that she loved, my Mom had a massive heart attack and left this earth.

Sleeting in North Alabama

Sleet is coming down at a pretty good clip!

Today started off warm & sunny, mid-50's. Then a persistent cold wind & spotty drizzlings of rain moved in. Temp was near 40 by 4ish :-(

Had really nice visits at my big-box & club stores today. A welcome change from the dour attitudes that tend to dominate this chain of sister stores.

Outlet & grocery stops went smoothly, as always. I luvs me some nice people :o)

Only hit one thrift (I try to get done & back home quickly as possible when weather is bad). Good mens wear is more abundant at this store than is ladies wear, and I'm only by there once a month, looking forward to some guy stuff. Couldn't shop half of it cuz worker women are pulling out stuff to hang from donation bags, and are piling it all on top of men's polo rack :( I dawdled for ten minutes, but they weren't moving it anytime soon, so left with 2 vests, a sweater, a men's vintage Dior, and a cute straw handbag. Total spent: under six bucks :o)

Now to enter my reports, start some laundry, find food, check groups, work on listings :o)

This is NOT a coincidence.

What is going on?????
E very glitch is a conspiracy. All statistics are lies. A 6-day eCheck clearance is a PayPal kiting scheme. All messages are smoke screens. A supporter of eBay is a brain-washed robot.

If I was that dubious of eBay's every move or statement, I would immediately close my account and refuse to do business with such an unscrupulous organization. Further, I would not let my name be associated with such scoundrels. To continue to make money with the aid of such terrible people would make me feel like a prostitute.

eBay Boycott - One of the Best Posts I've Seen

This pretty much sums it up for me :o)

gnomedplumegnomedplume (7756) Feb-22-08 11:06 PST 257 of 257

It would appear to me that The Boycott has already fizzled, if you gauge it by the raw numbers, because they've already turned around.I'm not sure "boycott" was an appropriate term anyway, if one simply stopped listing (maybe if they moved to another venue, but not if they just played dead).

If you just stopped listing, I would liken that to taking poison and hoping the other guy would die.

TGIF!! & eBay Boycott Update

Cold & Damp Thursday; eBay Boycott

It's a bit dreary round here, but Peggy sure brightened my day by being my first customer on ecrater!

*smooches* and a big Thank You to you, Peggy :-x The funny blue cow mug will be on its way tomorrow :o)
---------------------------------------------------
Not much happening with the boycott. Core listing count count is near the same as it was first of the month, before all the boycotting talk. Now experiencing an upward trend, typical for Thursday.

My conclusion: business as usual for most of eBayland- go for the green! :-)

Tried the coat first- beautiful! Next, a ladies cotton top- splendid! And not as time consuming as I feared.

Good Night! 02/18/2008

Pretty productive day here-- several new items are listed & ready for their new homes! Please visit http://noniesnook.ecrater.com/ , http://mugsandglassware.ecrater.com/ & http://NoniesNook.com/ to see our goodies.

In related news, today was day one of the eBayers boycott. Huh?! you say? Yeah, that's right-- In protest of eBay's upcoming fees & feedback policy changes, a miniscule group of members are not buying or selling this week ... well, of course, except for all the ads they posted last week that are ending this week and as for bidding, well, ya know, if it's something they really want to buy...

Annny-way, MedVed's site is experiencing overload as folks keep checking & refreshing & checking, just waiting for eBay's count to bottom out. It's holding strong at over 14 million.... good luck with that!

If you'd like to eyeball the stats, or just learn which sites have the highest listing count right now, slide on by http://www.powersellersunite.com/auctionsitewatch.php

Rainy Super Bowl Sunday

Hubby & I scored a few goodies from a garage cleanout this morning :o)

The rain set in just as we got the truck unloaded :(

I finally headed into Huntsville around lunch to do my pricing audits. Realized just up the road that cellphone was dead, no charge :(( Arrive at first stop, it's packed. Of course, it's only a 6 topper. Could only get corner seat, all of menu not visible. Killed almost an hour, finally stood in corner & jotted figures while counter girl eyeballed me.

Next stop, got soaked going in. It's a real fru fru joint (as was the Fresh Market I visited before first stop, and the entire complex it seems, but it's a very relaxing atmosphere with no screaming children... maybe fru fru is good).

No way to see the board from the outside or once seated in dinig area. And, like the first stop, the carry out menu has no prices. WTH?!

I said the heck with it. Really bums me out as I've completed every project I've taken on, but this was just too much. If Ican't get the prices, I can't do the job. And sure can't spend an hour at each one, I had 15 for Pete's sake!

So, left south end, stopped at VV for a bit of shopping therapy, then Big Lots & Fred's to finish birthday shopping for my sweet Hubby xoxo followed by a quick pop into Rite-Aid & Dollar General.

Got back around 4:30, emailed scheduler & apologized profusely :( Fed critters, had coffee, watched a little !E Now it's time for a bite to eat & some listing :o)

Emailed scheduler when I

Saturday Night

Well, didn't make it to Huntsville, will hafta do tomorrow.

Hubby and I did go to the new Publix -- well, semi-new, opened in November and this was our first visit. :)

Much smaller than expected. It's the only renovated one around tho - in an old Winn Dixie - not built ground up.

It's a nice store, tho. We found loads of frozen goodies marked down - yes, always bargain hunting even at the grocery store, lol!

Online sales were ok today, especially Super Bowl cookbook ebooks. Didn't get much else done save a bit of house cleaning & laundry. Good thing I'll have plenty of online work time next week!

Good Night,
Nonie
:o)

Saturday - Super Bowl Eve!!

Happy Morning!

Well, sunny, at least. Not too happy yet as I have to go in to Huntsville today :((

Trying to get in gear & get it over with already.

Have packaged items to drop at PO tomorrow.
Hafta get out and find pressie for Hubby; his b'day is Sunday!
I started shopping for it weeks ago, then just stopped, I guess.

Going to get some neckties up tonite. Maybe some winter stuff, too.

I am soo unmotivated! :((

I have managed to complete setup 95% on two new ecrater stores:
http://noniesnook.ecrater.com/ (clothing)
http://mugsandglassware.ecrater.com/ (duh)

Grand opening for both is set for Feb 10th!!
I only have 1 day of field work next week, it's plenty do-able :)

Still undecided on a third store.... maybe later.

You can always find me at

TGIF x 2!

Happy (late) Morning y'all!

Had another jam packed day yesterday! Between packaging items, resetting prepaid fixtures, going to big PO & waiting in line forever, stickering ladies underwear, & trying to get something done on eBay & ecrater - whew!

Thankfully, we had thunderstorms and the power was out for a few hours (sub-station blew). So, I was forced to relax while I sat and read by flashlight :o)

Must have been really tired still, cuz I slept 10 hours last night :O

Not going anywhere today, woohoo!! Gonna get some ads up on eBay & maybe ecrater, package items for tomorrow, and take it easy :o)

Hump Day or Dump Day

Sure is cold outside today, esp considering it was 62° just yesterday! :((

Must push self out of chair, get packages ready, labels printed, hit PO on way to fave thrift.

Why does thrift hafta be 23 miles away?? wahhhh, wahhhh, boohoohoo

It'll be worth it, I'm sure :o) Can't stop thinking of the QF pink flamingo sweater, the Gene Ewing top that'll go with my skirt, and a blur of other clothing now on sale. It's Red Tag day, woohoo!!

Today's Road Trip

Awoke to cloudy, drizzzly weather, so took forever to get myself motivated :-(
Well, that, and the ebay fees announcement this morning did not help- argh!!

We'll save the ebay dissing for another time, too tired right now ;-)

So, today wasn't too awfully 'hard', but it was long. A few idiot drivers and screaming kids in stores did not help.

Oh yeah--- a shout out to the fool driving the white Dodge dualie with Kansas plates on I565 in Madison around 10:15 this morning... yeah, YOU, the one who can't drive. I'm in the right lane, couple car lengths ahead of big rig in center lane & your arse in left. You speed up a hair, get in front of rig, and then just poke along like he's nowhere around! So, he slows down to keep from killing you, I'm 3 or 4 car lengths ahead now, wondering 'does the fool want over here for next exit in a mile? plenty of room behind me for him to get over.'

Silly me, why ever would you slide in BEHIND me? Oh no. Same foolishness. Speed up a tick, get in FRONT of me (I was doing legal 70) so you can just pokey poke along. Then get off exit & STOP!! Helllooooo!! Dunno how it is in KS, but Y-I-E-L-D does not spell S-T-O-P, ya jerk!

You're lucky your pic isn't here today. Yep. Soon as I transfer all my phone pics, I'm using it to grab a snapshot of each fool/bully/idiot I encounter & I'm-a posting here for all the world to see, hee hee hee!

Parents with little kids - ok, not ALL of you, but if you're HONEST with yourself, you'll know if this applies to you ;-) ... Retail store are not daycare & the clerks & staff are not your own personal FREE babysitters. If you cannot keep YOUR children with YOU & keep them acting somewhat civilized (i.e. not screaming for 10 minutes straight or running themselves or buggies up & down the aisles) them keep all your butts at the house & order all your cwap online. Sure, you have a right to be there, but so do *I* Shopping should be peaceful & relaxing for everyone, not an exercise in 'how many times in a row can the little $&%^# holler 'MAMA MAMA MAMA' before the %&*$(# bitch just answers him already?!!''

Ahh, all better now. Off to enter my reports :o)

Monday, January 28, 2008

Looong Tuesday ahead

Tomorrow is going to be akin to hellish, or so it looks on paper, lol.

I have six assignments to complete in Madison & Huntsville.
Three will be half hour or less. The other three will be 1-2 hours each :((

Those three started off being one hour or less each, then they changed it.
Poo heads.

If I leave at 8, might make it home by 5 - ugh!

But, it's all ok. :) I'll work in at least one quick shop tomorrow (Yes, it is all about the shopping!) Looks like I'll be off the rest of the week as I've not heard back from the 'chicken folks' yet & the stickers for undies won't be here til Friday or later.

Going back to fave shop on Wednesday & get that pink flamingo Quacker Factory top and the Bis Bis top I couldn't decide on. Hopefully find some dollar deals, too!

Mmmm, shopping...

Off to work on laundry & listings!
Pls stop 'n' see what's new at NoniesNook.com !!

Glorious Day of Thrifting!

Or three hours worth anyhow, lol!

Over 80 fabulous finds including another
St John piece for my little collection. :o)

Royal blue, melon, mint, and butter suits .

*drool*

Think I'll list 'em all about a month before Easter.
Ohh yeah...

The Clothes, The Clothes, Aye Yi Yi!

So, I decide I want to wear a polo top & khakis on my merchandising stint tomorrow, providing the weather's sunny & warm :o)

Of course, no polos are to be found in the closet, so I go to throw a load of clothes in the frontloader.

OMGosh! I'm finding tops that I've worn only once in the months they've lived here, and even more that have never been worn & that I don't even remember purchasing- argh!

Maybe I have been buying too much after all...

And what's with all the 'line dry' stuff? Is 'line dry' the new 'dry clean only'?

Get over it, clothes makers! We want it simple- wash, tumble dry, wear.
NO line dry, lie flat to dry, ironing, or steaming - KISS already!
